About Miki Money AI

Welcome to Miki Money AI

Hi, I’m Mika. Miki Money AI is where I share what I’m actually learning about money, budgeting, and the AI tools that are starting to make personal finance feel manageable, especially for people like me whose brains don’t work in neat spreadsheets.

My Story (The Real One)

I didn’t start this blog because I’m a finance expert. I started it because I’m a woman with ADHD, a six-figure salary, and a pile of debt and I finally got tired of feeling like I was the only one.

For years, I couldn’t figure out why I was struggling financially when on paper I should have been fine. I’d walk into a craft store and see a pottery kit and think I could do that. Walk past a guitar and think I could learn. Scroll past a new planner system and think this one will finally work. My house became a museum of unfinished hobbies and unused planners (I own more than 20), and I’m not exaggerating!

That’s the ADHD tax nobody talks about. The brain that sees every possibility buys every possibility, and the bills come due no matter what.

What finally started working wasn’t an app. It was people. I send my sister $100 every paycheck, she holds it for until it reaches $1,000 then its transferred to our savings. My husband and I send $75 each to my aunt every paycheck, and in 10 months she gives us back $1,500 in one lump sum (a version of the cundina/tanda savings circles common in Latino families). Anything extra I have, I transfer to my husband so I physically can’t see it or spend it. Out of sight, out of brain. We started this system a year ago, with 0 savings and now we have finally reached the first milestone of savings for an emergency.

I’m not debt-free yet. I’m not where I want to be. But for the first time, I’m stable, emotionally and financially moving in the right direction and my mom has actually told me she can see the difference. That’s what I want to share with you.

Who This Site Is For

If any of this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place:

  • You earn decent money but can’t figure out where it goes
  • Every budgeting app has overwhelmed you within a week
  • You have a graveyard of planners, notebooks, and money systems that didn’t stick
  • You’re tired of finance advice written for people with neurotypical brains and trust funds
  • You want tools that actually match how your brain works

What I Cover

  • ADHD & Money — What actually works when traditional advice doesn’t
  • AI Budgeting Tools — Honest reviews of apps that claim to help (and whether they really do, from someone who’ll abandon anything complicated)
  • Manual Money Systems — Family savings circles, cash envelopes, accountability partners, and other low-tech methods that work when apps fail
  • Debt Payoff (The Honest Version) — Real talk about paying down debt on a high income with a brain that wasn’t built for it
  • Side Income & Passive Strategies — Building income streams that don’t require more executive function than you have

My Mission

Money advice was not written for us. Most of it assumes a brain that remembers, follows through, and doesn’t get derailed by a shiny new hobby. I’m building Miki Money AI to be the resource I wish I’d had: for high-feeling, high-spending people who are tired of feeling broken and just want something that actually works.

My Other Site

If you’re also curious about the broader world of AI tools (beyond just personal finance) I run a sister site called The AI Shortcut where I cover AI news, tool reviews, and tutorials for everyday people. Different focus, same no-BS voice. I see AI as a tool to help us work smarter not harder. To help us simplify our day to day. AI is not going away and it cannot push us back, but only forward.

Editorial Integrity

Miki Money AI is independently run. Some articles contain affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you buy through my links — at no extra cost to you. This keeps the content free. I only recommend things I’ve actually researched or tried myself, and my honest opinion is never for sale.
